Pack Meeting Location: Varies by activity.

Attending a den meeting is a great way to check out the Pack!

The Pack is our unit's entire group of scouts. Based on the scouts' ages / school grades, our pack is organized into smaller groups called Dens. Each Den works on achieving its rank badge for the year by completing Adventures together. We start all meetings as a Pack by lining up in Dens and saying the Pledge of Allegiance, Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Outdoor Code.

Dens are smaller groups of scouts by grade, usually consisting of 4 – 10 scouts with at least two adult leaders. Dens meet bi-weekly to work on Adventures and may schedule field trips to complete certain requirements. The Dens are:

  • Kindergarten - Lions*
  • 1st - Tigers*
  • 2nd - Wolves
  • 3rd - Bears
  • 4th - Webelos
  • 5th - AOL (Arrow of Light)

*Lion and Tiger scouts require an Akela (a parent or guardian) to be with them for all Den and Pack activities to help them on their scouting trail. Parents of Wolf through Webelos scouts are encouraged to stay during Den meetings to help their scout and the Den leaders with activities, but it is not required. Learn more about the Advancement Trail.

Pack 456 offers a variety of exciting activities throughout the year, including:
