Creating A Banner Image For Your Page Heading

So how did the heading of the Knots O'Fast Sailing and Boating site go from this:

..to this?

It was really quite easy.

One of the club leaders had some experience with image editing software, in this case Corel Photopaint.   He selected a photo from one of the group's more memorable outings that would look good when cropped to a very wide, short image.   He resized it to 800 pixels wide and cropped it to 100 pixels high, and then overlaid the name of the group.   He then uploaded it to TroopWebHostCS and installed it on his site.

If you would like to do the same, simply create a JPG or GIF file that is 800 pixels wide and 100 pixels high.

Be sure to include the name of your group in your image.

Then go to the Site Appearance form, in the Site Configuration menu, and click the Browse... button to find the image file on your computer. You can then click the Save button to install the image.

If your group creates a custom image banner, let us know! We'd love to show your creativity as an example of what a good banner could look like.
